Progress Plus honors historic changes and anticipates new opportunities for the future…
For more than 120 years, Central Livestock, better known as The Stockyards to many in the region occupied a 27.3-acre parcel along Concord Street in South St. Paul. For decades, the Stockyards was a robust economic investment and employed many generations of family members from throughout the area.
Last year, JBL Companies represented Central Livestock in the sale of the facility. The complicated transaction involved JBL and Interstate working closely with the City of South St. Paul, South St. Paul Housing & Redevelopment Authority and MPCA. A tax increment financing district was also created during the process.
During April, several events took place to celebrate the rich history of the area as well celebrate future economic investment. Part of the festivities included the Ground Breaking Ceremony at BridgePoint Business Park, a 320,000 square foot office/warehouse project comprised of four buildings ranging from 50,000 to 96,000 square feet that is being developed by Interstate Partners and marketed by JBL Companies.
“Progress Plus, the River Heights Chamber’s economic development initiative is extremely excited about the economic investment being created. As part of the regional marketing campaign, the timing could not have been better to have this premier showcase opportunity. Interstate Partners has a solid reputation as a developer with a proven track record of success and traditionally owns their properties for the long term,” stated Gus Briguet, Mainstreet Bank and chair of Progress Plus Board of Directors.
The first of the four buildings at BridgePoint Business Park will be available for occupancy in 2008. For more information on space opportunities at BridgePoint Business Park, contact Jeffrey Larson at 651.686.0212.
