A new 135,000 square foot Target building to employ about 200 local people is set to open in Inver Grove Heights in July.
“The new store, located at South Robert Trail and Highway 55, will offer guests the everyday essentials and exclusive brands they have come to expect from Target,” according to a press release.
The new store will also include a selection of fresh produce, fresh packaged meat and pre-packaged baked goods.
“Target is pleased to open its first store in Inver Grove Heights, making it the eighth in Dakota County,” said Bryan Everett, Target’s senior vice president of stores in the Midwest region. “Target is proud to expand its presence in the state where it originated. We take pride in being a good neighbor in the Twin Cities community and developing long-lasting relationships with guests and the Inver Grove Heights community.”

PCL Construction Services Inc. has donated $100K to the University of Minnesota to set up a scholarship fund targeting women and students of color to encourage them to pursue a career in construction management.
