Getting to Know IGH - Focus of Progress Plus Broker Tour
On Tuesday, April 29, Progress Plus will host a tour for real estate professionals from throughout the Twin Cities area to learn about development opportunities in Inver Grove Heights. As part of the Progress Plus marketing campaign, the broker event is designed to showcase both existing and on-the-drawing board projects as well as highlight new areas for development such as the Northwest Quadrant.
Through research conducted with real estate professionals last fall, Progress Plus discovered that Inver Grove Heights is relatively unknown. This tour will educate industry professionals about the community's vision for new commercial/industrial investment and the many assets Inver Grove Heights has to offer, including executive housing, green space, educational institutions, and plenty of space for all types of development.
The tour begins at 2:00 p.m. at Outback Steakhouse in Inver Grove Heights with a brief overview presentation by Mayor George Tourville and others. Companies interested in sponsoring this event would receive recognition in materials and opportunities to participate based on the various levels of sponsorship. For more information, contact Ellen Watters at 651.208.1480 or ellenwatters@comcast.net.
Reservations for the IGH Broker Tour are required and can be made by contacting the Progress Plus office at 651.451.2266.
Progress Plus honors historic changes and anticipates new opportunities for the future...

Last year, JBL Companies represented Central Livestock in the sale of the facility. The complicated transaction involved JBL and Interstate working closely with the City of South St. Paul, South St. Paul Housing & Redevelopment Authority and MPCA. A tax increment financing district was also created during the process.
During April, several events will take place to celebrate the rich history of the area as well as economic investment for the future. Plans are well underway for the Ground Breaking Ceremony at BridgePoint Business Park, a 320,000 square foot office/warehouse project comprised of four buildings ranging from 50,000, 96,000 square feet that is being developed by Interstate Partners and marketed by JBL Companies.
Central Livestock will hold its final sale and auction on Friday, April 11 before moving to their new location in Zumbrota, Minnesota. In addition to the final sale, there will be tours of the Stockyard, celebrity auctioneers, the Beef Mobile, complimentary refreshments and lunch, and the opportunity to purchase part of history with engraved commemorative bricks and pen gates. Later that day, a formal Ground Breaking Ceremony which signals the commencement of construction for the new BridgePoint Business Park will be held.
Progress Plus, the River Heights Chamber's economic development initiative is extremely excited about the economic investment being created. As we get set to launch our regional marketing campaign, the timing could not be better to have a premier opportunity such as this for inclusion. Interstate Partners has a solid reputation as a developer with a proven track record of success and traditionally owns their properties for the long term, stated Gus Briguet, Mainstreet Bank and chair of Progress Plus Board of Directors.
The first of the four buildings at BridgePoint Business Park will be available for occupancy in 2008. For more information on space opportunities at BridgePoint Business Park, contact Jeffrey Larson at 651.686.0212.
